- Jimi Wanjigi accuses President William Ruto of orchestrating abductions and killings during anti-government protests, labeling him a dictator violating the Constitution.
- Wanjigi expresses solidarity with affected families and vows to seek legal action against the government for these atrocities.
Businessman Jimi Wanjigi has launched a scathing attack on President William Ruto, accusing him of being the mastermind behind the recent abductions and killings that have occurred during the anti-government protests in the country.
In a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, Wanjigi claimed that President Ruto’s administration is using State machinery to spread terror among Kenyans through abductions, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings.
Wanjigi did not mince words, labeling the President a “Constitution delinquent” and alleging that the Head of State has used the police and military to terrorize the public.
He claimed that this has resulted in the deaths of over 60 youths and more than 100 abductions.

According to Wanjigi, President Ruto’s actions have not only violated the Kenyan Constitution but also contravened the oath of office he took.
He went further to revive the memories of the 2007 Post Election Violence, where President Ruto faced charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.
Wanjigi accused the President of being a dictator who uses violence to instill fear in people exercising their rights.
He stated, “Kenyans must never forget that Ruto was a suspect at the ICC. President Ruto is hypocritically mocking, laughing, and demeaning the abducted, disappeared, and murdered sons and daughters of this country and their loved ones who are painfully crying daily.”
Wanjigi expressed his outrage, comparing President Ruto’s actions to those of notorious dictators like Adolf Hitler, Slobodan Milosevic, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and Omar Al Bashir.
He emphasized that the only crime committed by the victims was exercising their constitutional and democratic rights peacefully and unarmed.
In a show of empathy, the 2022 presidential aspirant expressed his solidarity with the families of those who were abducted or killed, lamenting that the country is heading in the wrong direction.
He decried the rampant cases of abductions and extrajudicial killings and vowed to seek legal redress both locally and internationally to hold the government accountable for these atrocities.
“I stand in solidarity and empathy with all the families who have lost their loved ones to abductions and enforced disappearances. It is devastating for a family and friends when a loved one disappears. Yet this is the harsh reality facing Kenya now,” Wanjigi stated.
He added, “Your pain is my pain. We are on the edge of an abyss and moving speedily in the wrong direction. We must all wake up and collectively demand truth, accountability, and justice.”
In his statement, Wanjigi also demanded the release of activist Bob Njagi and brothers Longton Jamil and Aslam Jamil, who were reportedly abducted two weeks ago in Kitengela by individuals believed to be police officers.
