A heartwarming highlight of the day was the caravan’s visit to the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre, where they brought Christmas joy by donating food, gifts, and motivational talks.
“Though people are doubting kama watakula Christmas yao, sisi kama rescue centre we are double sure of the Christmas,” remarked David Magut, the manager of the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre, reflecting on the impact of the initiative.

Safaricom’s commitment to the community was further echoed by Brenda Chesingei, Safaricom’s business lead in Eldoret.
“We have come to inspire, encourage, and make sure they are also enjoying our 24 years of celebrations, and that they are celebrating Christmas in a big way,” she said.
The caravan also stopped at other locations, rewarding residents with exciting prizes. Immaculate Awino, one of the winners, expressed her delight, saying, “I am very happy how today they have spread the joy. I have won a chicken today and I am very happy.” Similarly, Joseph Talam, another recipient, said, “Tunashukuru Safaricom kwa kututembelea leo na kutuzawadi vitu mbalimbali kama vile mbuzi, kondoo na vitu mingi.”
As the Rift Valley tour nears its conclusion, the caravan is set to traverse Nakuru County on Saturday. The scheduled stops include Kaptembwa, Salgaa, Molo, Keringet, Olenguruone, and Njoro.
Radio Citizen presenter Munai General encouraged Kenyans to engage with the caravan, saying, “We are very happy with all Kenyans for embracing Safaricom. We call upon all citizens to show up whenever we visit your area, as we have many prizes up for grabs.”
