The Sambaza Furaha na Safaricom caravan has entered its third week, continuing its vibrant journey across Western Kenya in celebration of Safaricom’s 24 years of service to Kenyans.
The caravan, which has been making stops in various counties, rewards loyal customers with exciting giveaways as part of the telecommunications giant’s customer appreciation campaign.
This week, the caravan began its tour in Kondele, Kisumu, a bustling neighborhood where hundreds of residents gathered to join the festivities.
From there, it passed through Kakamega and is set to conclude in Bungoma County. At every stop, residents have had the opportunity to win gifts and merchandise, creating a wave of excitement and joy across the region.
“At every stop, the excitement has been overwhelming, with residents eager to participate in the celebrations and show their support for Safaricom,” said Ben Kirui, reporting from Bungoma County.
The caravan is part of the larger “Sambaza Furaha na Safaricom Hii Krisi” campaign, a collaboration between Safaricom and Royal Media Services. The initiative seeks to reward thousands of customers for their loyalty over the years.

“We are excited to celebrate our 24th anniversary with our customers across Kenya. This initiative allows us to give back to those who have supported us over the years,” said Sizwe Awuor, Safaricom’s Director of Brand and Marketing.
Gunilla Ouko, Regional Business Lead for Safaricom’s Greater Western Region, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the caravan’s role in strengthening customer relationships and fostering direct connections.
Adding to the festivities, fans of Mulembe FM, Radio Citizen, and Vuuka FM have had the unique chance to interact with their favorite presenters, such as Diana Makokha and Pamela Kadima, Head of Mulembe FM.
As the caravan progresses, it will pass through Mayanja, Harambee, Koyonzo, Ogalo, Mumias, and Kakamega, spreading joy and gratitude to more communities across Western Kenya.
