Addressing criticisms, Murkomen apologized to Kenyans for his past conduct and perceived opulence.
“The last two weeks have been moments of deep reflection. I would like to unreservedly apologize to every Kenyan who I may have offended through my words, my deeds, and my conduct, including my lifestyle, in the last two years of my public service,” he stated.
This apology comes in response to criticism, particularly from Gen Z, who have accused some public servants of wasting public resources and leading opulent lifestyles while demanding greater accountability.
Murkomen affirmed his commitment to serve diligently and with accountability if approved by the National Assembly.
