Nairobi residents have been urged to remain vigilant following reports of three lions sighted roaming in the Lang’ata area. 

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) issued a statement on Thursday, confirming the lions’ presence near Lang’ata Women’s Prison.

Responding to the reports, KWS mobilized its Problem Animal Control team to locate and contain the wild animals. Despite extensive search efforts throughout the night, the lions remained elusive.

In a statement, KWS emphasized its commitment to public safety and continued monitoring of the situation. 

Residents were advised to exercise caution and promptly report any wildlife sightings to the KWS hotline number 0800 597 000 or via Whatsapp at 0726610509 for immediate assistance.
