- Collins Jumaisi Khalusha confessed to murdering 42 women and disposing of their bodies at the Kware dumpsite.
- Police recovered numerous items linking him to the crimes, including SIM cards, smartphones, and a machete.
The prime suspect behind the horrific murders of individuals found at the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency, has given a chilling confession.
Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, 33, admitted to killing 42 women between 2022 and July 11, 2024, when he claimed his last victim, according to Mohamed Amin, Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Khalusha revealed that his first victim was his wife, whom he strangled and dismembered before dumping her remains at the dumpsite.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have lured, killed, and disposed of 42 female bodies at the dumpsite, all murdered between 2022 and as recently as July 11, 2024,” stated Amin.
“The suspect alleged that his first victim was his wife, Imelda Judith Khalenya, whom he strangled to death before dismembering her body and disposing of it at the same site. From the interrogation, all his victims have been murdered in the same style.”

Amin added that Khalusha was apprehended in the early hours of Monday morning in Kayole following a joint operation by the DCI and the National Police Service (NPS).
“He was arrested outside a club where he had gone to watch the Euro 2024 football finals,” said Amin. “His arrest followed a thorough forensic analysis of a mobile phone belonging to one of the victims, identified as Josephine Owino, where some mobile money transactions were made when she went missing.”
After his arrest, Khalusha led officers to his single-room house in the Kware area, about 100 meters from the dumpsite, where several crucial items were recovered.
These items included 24 Airtel SIM cards, eight smartphones, one laptop, one hard drive, two flash drives, a machete believed to be used for dismembering the victims, 12 nylon sacks similar to those used to stuff the bodies, industrial rubber gloves, six ID cards (four for men and two for women), a pink female handbag, two female panties, five rolls of cannabis, four large clear sellotapes, a reflector jacket, two title deeds, two notebooks, and assorted documents.
The suspect’s house and the dumpsite will remain active crime scenes as police continue their investigation.
“From the look of things, it is crystalizing that we are dealing with a psychopathic serial killer who has no respect for human life,” noted Amin.
As of Monday morning, a total of nine bodies have been recovered from the dumpsite, with postmortems set to commence today at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary. Families with missing loved ones have arrived at the premises to identify.
