Kenya Railways issued a statement acknowledging the challenges faced, assuring the public that efforts were underway to restore normal services and apologizing for any inconvenience caused.
Notably, the newly constructed Nairobi Expressway was also inundated with knee-level flooding, impeding vehicle movement, although guides were swiftly deployed to assist.
Despite the dire situation, some individuals found humor in the adversity, with journalist Larry Madowo joking about needing a boat for the Expressway.
